Giving Is Healing Foundation Leads Successful Campaign to Promote Girl Child Education in Kano

In a concerted effort to spotlight the transformative power of educating girls, the Giving Is Healing Foundation spearheaded a three-day awareness campaign in Garun Mallam Local Government, Kano State, in 2023. The initiative aimed to underscore the importance of girls’ education in fostering societal development and progress.

Targeting students from Government Girls Arabic Secondary School Garun Mallam, Model Upper Basic School, and Government Girls Islamic Secondary School, the campaign focused on dismantling barriers to education for girls and promoting empowerment through learning. The activities, which took place over three days, provided students with crucial insights into how education plays a vital role in achieving self-reliance and spurring economic growth.

The schools graciously provided venues for the event, while the Foundation ensured participants were well-nourished by providing refreshments throughout. Despite some logistical challenges, the campaign was hailed as a success, effectively delivering its message and inspiring a renewed focus on the importance of girls’ education within the community.
