Empowering Communities: Over 500 Residents Benefit from Free Medical Outreach in Ayobo, Lagos
In our ongoing efforts to enhance humanitarian support in Nigeria, over 500 residents of Megida, Alaja community recently benefitted from a comprehensive free medical outreach program hosted at the RCCG Miracle of God parish in Ayobo, Lagos. This initiative, organized by the Giving Is Healing Foundation in collaboration with our dedicated medical team, was a key event in celebrating Nigeria’s 2022 Independence Day.
The outreach aimed to meet the healthcare needs of underserved populations by providing essential medical services and screenings within their local community. Mr. Tunji, a beneficiary and member of RCCG MOG, shared his positive experience, noting that he learned about the event through church announcements. He expressed gratitude to the GIH Foundation for bringing vital healthcare services closer to the people.
“I took advantage of the opportunity to get screened for my health,” Mr. Tunji said. “Routine health checks are crucial for early disease detection, but many, including myself, struggle to visit hospitals.”
The program served over 500 beneficiaries, ensuring that both adults and children received necessary medical care. Such outreach efforts highlight the importance of direct community engagement, offering immediate health services and fostering a supportive environment for convenient access to care.
By leveraging partnerships and community involvement, initiatives like these are essential for improving healthcare access and outcomes across Nigeria. We remain committed to expanding our impact and supporting efforts that empower communities and promote sustainable health practices. Together, we can make significant strides toward a healthier, more resilient society.
