Giving Is Healing Foundation Partners with CSOs to Combat Human Trafficking in Dopemu, Ikeja
Dopemu, Ikeja – July 30, 2024 – The Giving Is Healing Foundation (GIHF), in collaboration with key civil society organizations (CSOs), the Female Returned Migrant Network, and the Voice of Migrants Association, successfully conducted a major sensitization event in Dopemu, Ikeja, addressing the critical issues of human trafficking and irregular migration. This initiative is part of an ongoing partnership with the French Embassy in Nigeria and the International Organization for Migration (IOM).
The event, which took place on July 30, 2024, aimed to raise awareness about the dangers and signs of human trafficking, as well as to provide vital information on how to combat irregular migration. Through engaging presentations, interactive sessions, and distribution of educational materials, the event sought to empower community members with knowledge and resources to protect themselves and others from trafficking and exploitation.
